Get Rid of Water Retention

Just earlier this week, I felt that I am bloated and that got me crazy. I still feel so puffy and heavy and my uniform is getting tight. Holy Cow! How do I become so fat in just a span of three days. My husband is laughing at me saying, "Oh you are like a big lump of water + fatty " Oh I was so upset by his remarks. I am really serious about this as I feel that it is so impossible to gain fatty deposits in a very quick span of time. I mean , I can feel the heaviness. I was not like this last week.

The cause is , Water Retention. It is one of the major health problem today. It's distressing symptoms includes: being overweight, puffiness, bloating, swollen parts of the body, and breast tenderness. This usually comes with the premenstrual package. It is this period that women experience hormonal changes in the body. In some women, there will be a surging increase of the hormone aldosterone. This hormone causes the kidney to retain fluids and the woman so suddenly gain a few water-filled pounds. While PMS is the major cause of water retention, there could be other factors that may contribute to it. One of these is kidney problem, heart , thyroid glands and liver complications may also cause this. Eating a lot of salty food can also turn your body into a water-tank.

How To to Get Rid of Water Retention?

1. Avoid eating salty food especially if your period is nearing. Sodium causes your body to retain a lot of fluid.
2. Grab and eat banana heartily like a monkey. Banana is high in Potassium that helps in eliminating water retention.
3. Use Ice packs and apply it to bloated or swelled areas where water is most retained to help them get back to normal size. Water is retained mostly on ankles, feet and your legs.
4. Eat Cabbage. It is a natural diuretic. You can prepare coleslaw salad and enjoy it.
5. Consume cranberry juice straight from the bottle. It is a good diuretic too.
6. Drink Water. You may think drinking water is not a good idea cause we're talking about water retention here. Water flushes out all that has to go out from the system. Thus drink 8-10 glasses of water a day.
7. Take Vitamin A and C. Both of which help diminish the fragility of capillaries and decrease water retention.
10. Drink Herbal Teas. Tea is a good diuretic too that may help flush excess water without any harmful side-effects.

In some cases, water retention signals something more serious and be treated as emergency. If your skin remains plump or your finger leaves an indentation when you poke your skin, you may have a problem with your heart, kidneys, liver or thyroid. When the later are observable , directly seek for medical help.

Ageless Advice for a Lifetime Support

No matter what decade you're in, there's a plenty you should be doing to protect your heart. Your heart is YOU , thus you need to follow these guidelines.

Quit Smoking
Smoking is a vice which is really hard to say goodbye. Practice independence and self-discipline. Cigarettes increase blood pressure and plaque build-up in the arteries and decrease levels of HDL, the good cholesterol.

Eat Well
Healthy diet plays a major role in maintaining one's health. Remember, You are what You eat. Cook with heart-healthy mono-unsaturated oils, such as olive and canola. If you love red meat, do eat infrequently and go lean. If you drink milk and consume dairy, opt for skim or low-fat. Use butter sparingly. Eat plenty of vegetables and fruits, whole grains, nuts and legumes.

Pay Attention to Portion Sizes
Think of your plate in 3 sections: one for protein (the size and thickness of a deck of cards), one for carbohydrates (the size of your fist), and one for vegetables, especially leafy greens.

Stay Active
Exercise is the best indulgence to keep us fit. Aim for at least three to five 30-minutes of stints of heart rate-raising exercise a week, and add them to your calendar. Regular work-outs keep blood vessels in good shape and pumping efficiently.

When it comes to eating right and exercising, there is no "I'll start tomorrow." Tomorrow is disease. ~V.L. Allineare

Worms in Pork Meats

It is sensible enough to blog once in a while about facts relevant to us in relations with the type of food we consume and it's effect for us to be aware and be cautious to our health.

Fact:
The pig is the MAIN CARRIER of the TAENIE SOLIUM WORM, which is found in its flesh. These tapeworms are found in human intestines with greater frequency in nations where pigs are eaten. This type of tapeworm can pass through the intestines and affect many other organs, and is incurable once it reaches beyond a certain stage. One in six people in the US and Canada has RICHINOSIS from eating trichina worms, which are found in pork.

Try this and see whether the pork you bought has worms. There goes with your "Bak Kut Teh" for those who love it. Most men love to eat this so watch out before it's too late. If you pour Coke (yes, the soda) on a slab of pork, wait a little while, you will SEE WORMS crawl out of it. A message from the Health Corporation of Singapore about the bad effects of pork consumption. Pig's bodies contain MANY TOXINS, WORM and LATENT DISEASES.

Although some of these infestations are harbored in other animals, modern veterinarians say that pigs are far MORE PREDISPOSED to these illnesses than other animals. This could be because PIGS like to SCAVENGE and will eat ANY kind of food, INCLUDING dead insects, worms, rotting carcasses, excreta including their own, garbage, and other pigs. INFLUENZA (flu) is one of the MOST famous illnesses which pigs share with humans. This illness is harbored in the LUNGS of pigs during the summer months and tends to affect pigs and human in the cooler months.

Sausage contains bits of pigs' lungs, so those who EAT pork sausage tend to SUFFER MORE during EPIDEMICS of INFLUENZA. Pig meat contains EXCESSIVE quantities of HISTAMINE and IMIDAZOLE compounds, which can lead to ITCHING and INFLAMMATION; GROWTH HORMONE which PROMOTES INFLAMMATION and growth; sulphur containing mesenchymal mucus which leads to SWELLING and deposits of MUCUS in tendons and cartilage, resulting in ARTHRITIS, RHEUMATISM, etc.
Sulphur helps cause FIRM human tendons and ligaments to be replaced by the pig's soft mesenchymal tissues, and degeneration of human cartilage.

Eating pork can also lead to GALLSTONES and OBESITY, probably due to its HIGH CHOLESTEROL and SATURATED FAT content.

A lot of consumers have NO SYMPTOMS to warn them of this, and when they do, they resemble symptoms of many other illnesses. These worms are NOT noticed during meat inspections.

Waiting...

As I look into some photographs of you
I can't seem to look away
I get lost into your smile over the photo
Each and every day

You thought I am over you
You thought that I have moved on
But to tell you the whole truth...
My feelings aren't gone

I'm still here, still waiting
For us to finally be
I'll stay here for as long as it takes
For you to be with me

You're still here inside my heart
I'll never give up on you
You'll never find anyone else
Who loves you like I do

I'm still here just waiting
For you to finally realize
I'm still here waiting for you to see me
How I see you through my weary eyes...

Corporate Lessons

In a world where only change is constant , we must know how to adapt in order to survive.
So, we will be going through change.. Here’s three lessons from large corporations to help you survive change….

CORPORATE LESSON 1
A crow was sitting on a tree, doing nothing all day.
A small rabbit saw the crow, and asked him, "Can I also sit like you and do nothing all day long?”
The crow answered: "Sure, why not.”
So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the crow, and rested.
All of a sudden, a fox appeared, Jumped on the rabbit... and ate it.

Moral of the story is….
To be sitting and doing nothing you must be sitting very, very high up.

CORPORATE LESSON 2
A turkey was chatting with a bull."
I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree," sighed the turkey, "but I haven't got the energy.”
"Well, why don't you nibble on some of my droppings?" replied the bull. They're packed with nutrients."
The turkey pecked at a lump of dung and found that it actually gave him enough strength to reach the first branch of the tree.
The next day, after eating more dung, he reached the second branch.
Finally after a fortnight, there he was proudly perched at the top of the treeSoon he was spotted by a farmer Who promptly shot the turkey out of the tree.

Moral of the story:
Bullshit might get you to the top, but it won't keep you there.

CORPORATE LESSON 3
A little bird was flying south for the winterIt was so cold, the bird froze and fell to the ground in a large field.
While it was lying there, a cow came byand dropped some dung on it.
As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, it began to realise how warm it was.
The dung was actually thawing him out!
He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy.
A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate.
Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him!

The morals of this story are:
1) Not everyone who drops shit on you is your enemy.
2) Not everyone who gets you out of shit is your friend.
3) And when you're in deep shit, keep your mouth shut

Apple Cider: Weight Loss and other Health Benefits

It is always a common experience to moms worldwide that mostly gain weight and lost the perfect 24-34-24 figure after giving births. Lot of them would tirelessly involved themselves to weight-shedding processes like diet pills, slimming teas, starving schemes and excessive gymn engagements just to have the lustful figure again. I am one of the lot. It is really my frustration that after my third child's birth I gained extra pounds due to the injectable contraceptive that I was using. Good thing that a friend of mine a once-chubby mom who is now a gorgeous lady told me her secret of bringing the best in her figure. She introduced the APPLE CIDER to me.. Proven and tested according to her and result seen by me on my naked eyes, apple cider aided her in her weight loss challenge.

Apple Cider has been used from centuries ago threading back to the Egyptian times as a natural health support and effective tool for weight loss. ACV is a very hale and hearty supplement, and can even be taken by children. It is produced from fermenting real apple juice. Apple cider vinegar resulting from fermentation combines with oxygen to yield acetic acid. The acid level (pH) of ACV is full of benefits for the body. It is rich in vitamins, minerals and other substances. ACV is composed of these vitamins: Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Vitamin A, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, and B6. It has also mineral contents such as: manganese, iron, calcium, sodium, magnesium, sulfur, copper, phosphorus, silicon and fluorine.

This cider supply enzymes, amino acids, aldehydes, potash, alcoholic acids, propionic acid, and apple pectin. Apple pectin is a dietary fiber that is an essential component of a healthy diet. With the combination of these rich substances, vitamins and minerals , ACV can be one of the most essential must-include ingredients in a healthy meal.

How does Apple Cider works in Weight Loss? It is generally claimed that apple cider aids in detoxifying the liver which serves an essential role in weight loss. The nutrients, enzymes and the organic acid which are in ACV help in weight shedding by acting as an appetite suppressant. When taken regularly it will also increase your metabolism. Moreover it would also reduce water retention thus facilitates in weight reduction.

How to take Apple Cider Vinegar? To shed off extra pounds, take 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar before every meal. You can take it straight followed by lukewarm water or mix it with a glass of water. You can add honey too for nicer taste.

Other Health benifits of ACV:

Blood pressure: potassium content of ACV helps in thinning the blood thus helping in maintaining blood pressure.
Cholesterol control: fiber contents of ACV expells fats and cholesterol as waste materials from the body.

Diabetes: it's fiber content too helps in maintaining the glucose content of the blood.

Arthritic pains: the speedy meatabolism brought about by ACV will speedily excrete substances and waste materials from tissues thus preventing arthitic build-up.

Strong Bones: manganese, calcium, magnesium, silicon and iron develop bone mass and make them stronger.

Sore Throat: pain can be easen by gargling acv with water.

With the above, apparently Apple Cider Vinegar is the best way to shed off those excess weight. With the goal of achieving a great figure you would also have the freebies of other health benefits. Such a beautiful way to be sexy.

"In either way you take it, don't anticipate a rapid weight loss, the weight will be lost progressively, as it should be to permit the body's fat cells to adjust to their new size." Just take it and enjoy as part of your meal habit and one day you will be surprised of the goodness it will bring.

Whatever Works for a busy Mom

Being a mom, I have experienced both as full-time homemaker and a relevant member of the workforce in the world. I have tried quitting my job and stayed and work only at home via online teaching. But I came to the point of realization that having a part-time work like that doesnt have to be forever for me. If I have a lot of students then I earn a lot per week. However the tides get low, there are just times that students are very few and there are cases that all drop off especially during school breaks thus would mean I wouldn't have any income at all. So I decided to return to the work force. Now I am a Move Manager of Crown.

However , there are also moms which are opposite to my thoughts. Whatever works for me may not work with you. But one thing for sure that I know, whether you want to work more or less, from being a freelancer, from money-making at home or back to an office, we can get our desired Job.

Let me share you some tactics and you may adopt them to get your ideal job a reality.

How To Be Back from a Home money-making Mom to an Office Mom:

Improve your skills and your circle of contacts. You can get opinions from old officemates, old friends. Get resources from them and know exactly what they can do to help. You can also enroll to short courses to improve skills. You might be out of the work population for a year, however, remember our society is fast-pacing today so everything may have changed.

Volunteer. Doing volunteer jobs on the type of work you's love to get into may also help you be prepared and be acquainted with the type of work specification you wanted to have. Some volunteer works may also eventually lead to being hired officialy and get you paid nicely.

Be clear on your choice. Ask yourself again if you want to work full-time or part time. Make a listing on your reasons and compare and weigh it. Know the advantages and disadvantages , the costs and all that may come with it.

Present yourself as a Proud professional. Do not ever say, "OH I was a fulltime mom" but rather say, " I am a Graphic designer"...

Be flexible. If you cannot get the job that you aimed, consider other jobs that may be acceptable for you also.

Be particular with the Kind of audience you have. Talking about taking care of children when you are on an interview for a job might not work for you especially if that prospective employer does not share your interest.

Interview Pointers:
Do say:" My career is very important for me , so I am in a market in joining the workforce again. I am flexible in the role that I might play in this organization."

Don't say: " I am bored at home and looking for work to do, but my kids are always my priority. Do you have any available work for me?"

The above maybe helpful to moms wanting to work again from staying home. However, many moms , especially most of us blogger moms quit the workforce and make money online as the best option in todays working world. Whatever is your situation as long as your money-making activity works for you and your family and you're happy with it , then it is okay. What matters still is we still have time for our children no matter how busy we are. Even we don't have to verbally say it, we work because of them. I myself do not agree when some say, we need to do our best for the company. I do my best for family. They are the reason why I am working now anyway.

Welcome to My Real Garden

This is it. My new baby, my Real Garden and this is my first blog entry. You may ask why I came with a blog title like this. Before I created this blog I was considering a lot of options as what to be the title. I was thinking of something cute, something girlie and hip. But all of a sudden, I was inspired to create a blog that would speak a lot of sense. We need to be sensible these days, I perceive. I want a blog that would spawn inspirations, nice thoughts and useful ideas that would be handy as we would thread the road of life. Therefore I titled my Blog: Real Garden. A garden where I can sow real simple thoughts to make life easier.

Do not expect only cuties and simple rants and raves in this blog. This is still personal. Personal in the sense that I would share my personal thoughts and ideas on anything worthwhile in the vast horizon. I would just be spreading my wings to the distance to make my life insightful and shrewd.

Thank you for coming here. In the days to come, you are welcome to come again here where you are free to pick a thought and inspiration for your own to add spice over your lovely life. Enjoy!!!
