Girls Talk: Favorite Gifts

I hope this entry is not too late on Girls Talk! So sorry guys I was not able to join here last week. However, I am here now though it's little late.

Talking about gifts, we all have plenty of them from the ones who love us: our family, friends and anyone close to our hearts and most especially from above. In our hearts and souls are infinitely precious gifts that cannot be taken out from us. For me, there's no other precious than the gift of my children. Their being here in my life is the most precious gift itself. With them on my life, I feel I have a home, what joy it is to be a mother of them.

My Children...

children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate. (Psalms 127:3-5

The eldest Gift: Aljodon David

The second blessing: Al'jered Nicolas

The third gift: ALikah Arienh

and another one coming: Lishan Jeshaiah

Thank you Lord , You are the best giver of all and your gifts are beyond compare..

Tuesday Couch Potato: Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey

I have missed the last week's Tuesday Couch Potatoes. If you have visited my other blog, you would have known the reason why. But, anyway I am back and am joining this week's edition, Animals Rule! I love this edition as any film which is about pets and animals really find a place in my heart. I am the kind of person who has a soft heart who is easily touched by some heart-warming animal stories.

I was supposed to pick Spirit- The Stallion of Cimarron as this was my ultimate favorite when I was pregnant with my third child. I never get tired of watching it over and over. I love the plot. I love the high-spirited stallion there and more so on his fight for the freedom of his homeland. The musical scores were perfect that really added strength to Spirit's character and journey. However, as this is the feature of our host, I'll go for another heart-warming, funny and lovable animal film- HOMEWARD BOUND: THE INCREDIBLE JOURNEY.

The main idea of "Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey" is three pets, Shadow, a wise old golden retriever, Chance, a goofy, fun-loving American bulldog puppy, and Sassy, a hilarious Himalayan cat who are left in the care of their owners' friend that lives hundreds of miles away on a farm. After several days, the pets begin to worry. Thinking that their owners must be in some kind of trouble, they set out on their adventure home.Along the way they encounter many unexpected surprises but their determination and love for their owners helps them in finding their way. For me, this was an unforgettable story of love, courage and devotion that will inspire everyone who watches it.

Truly a movie for all ages but especially kids will love this. The animals, the beautiful nature, some nice and funny moments, a good heart and a happy ending, everything what a movie for the whole family needs. Of course the story is simple and some events are quite impossible, but with movies like this you are not suppose to ask too many questions and you must not be too critical.

Girl's talk: Favorite Drink and Chocolate

Hi , I was not able to join last week's topic on Girl's Talk as I was so busy last week that i forget to post my entry. For that I will be posting two favorites for this entry.

FAVORITE DRINK

I am no less than a hot tea addict. I go for green teas, fruit teas and Oolong teas. The health benefits of teas are seemingly endless. Teas are powerful anti-oxidant. Aside from the delightful tea taste, you'll enjoy the benefits with every sip of it. I especially love green tea pods straightly boiled into perfection. I live by tea as water. In my office drawers, one of them is my drawer for my stock of tea bags, loose tea leafs, and some tea pods. I got my supply from authentic Tea seller in binondo, some others were presents from my ate in Australia and some were given by my brother in law fresh from Taiwan.

A cup of green tea a day will keep the sickness away..

MY FAVORITE CHOCOLATE

No other else gives me the pure pleasure than the pleasure that CADBURY CHOCOLATES brought to me.

Learn more on other's favorites at Sis Niko's blog and enjoy Girl's Talk!

Drinking Cold Water after A Meal= Cancer

Drinking Cold water after a meal = Cancer! Can you believe this??

For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you.

It is nice to have a glass of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion.. Once this 'sludge' reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.

Tell it to everyone you know and care for. There's nothing to lose with being health conscious. After all it's our life.

Tuesday Couch Potato: The Cutting Edge

It's already November. Whew!! Days are really scurrying so fast. I am excited for my due date when I can see my unborn baby for the first time. November 3rd's edition for Tuesday Couch Potatoes is DRAMA. We'll talk about movies which made us cry, made our emotions soar up high and cause us to be nostalgic way and beyond.

For my top pick and I considered it as drama, though it's more of Romance, I love the THE CUTTING EDGE..

The king of the Rink meets America's Ice Queen.

Starred by D.B. Sweeny as Dough Dorsey (the Hockey King) and Moira Kelly as Kate Mosely theirs was the Ultimate Love/ Skate relationship.

At the 1988 Winter Olympics at Calgary we see Doug Dorsey battered in a vicious hockey game against West Germany. We then see a Kate doing her program and falling when a lift goes bad. Both have fought all their life to get to the Olympics and suddenly the dream has been shattered. The movie then follows a tempermental but talented figure skater Kate through many partners until finally her coach resorts to recruiting a hockey player. Through the difficult training of 15 hours of skating a day they finally prepare for Nationals and the Olympics. A romance is budding and their final show could bend or break them as they try to achieve their dreams of an Olympic Gold medal.

The Cutting Edge is a classic movie and one which I never get tired of watching. I have watched it since High-school and till now at present whenever I feel like watching. It made me cry loads of tears and makes me like a floating fairy whenever I see their last performance at the end part.

The chemistry between Moira Kelly and D.B. Sweeney really heightens this picture, even before you see the impressive scenery and fantastic skating sequences.

The script is filled with quotable gems, (It's not like his nose was perfect) and what could be a fairly thin story (that, OK, has been done before) is lifted firmly out of the cliche zone by first class direction, a thumping early 90's pop soundtrack and breathtaking choreography.

I can't find fault in this movie - it's one of my top five - and would recommend it as a family favorite. You'll surely get the warm fuzzies while watching it. It gives credit to romance and beautiful story of how love can grow from being cat and dog at the beginning.

For the giddiyap that I've got while watching it, this movie gets a very enthusiastic 10/10 from me. Yay!!!

I don't know why every time I'm on the ending scene my heart would always stop, my tears would start falling and my emotions are surging.. I really can't explain.. Can you watch the last scene with me and tell me why I feel like this?

The last scene:
